HomePrivacy and children
Megatfo is used by children, so this page starts with them. The short version: the games collect nothing about children, there are no accounts, no advertising trackers, no analytics company and no cookies for visitors.
The site is served through Cloudflare, which handles the connection and passes along the country a request comes from. Our server keeps ordinary web logs for a few days for security and to find broken links.
When a page is hidden or left, the browser sends Megatfo a short, anonymous page note: the page address, how many seconds it was on screen, how far down it was scrolled, the website that linked to it (on the first page of a visit only), whether it was a phone or a computer, and the country Cloudflare reports. The note carries a random number that exists only while that page is open. We do not store an IP address, browser details or any cookie with it, the random number is erased after two days, and nothing is sent at all when the browser asks for Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control. We use these counts to learn which games and notes are used, so we can fix and improve them.
The read-aloud buttons use the speech voice built into your browser or device. Some browsers use voices provided by their maker; that is handled by the browser, under its own privacy terms, and Megatfo receives nothing from it.
Some articles for parents and teachers, and the Backpack page, show a box linking to a shop or service through the CJ Affiliate network. The link goes straight from our page to the network and then to the shop. If you click it, CJ and the shop can set their own cookies to credit the sale, and your browser tells them which of our pages you came from. When a box is clicked, we count the click (which box, which page and the country), without any personal details.
When you write to us, we keep your name, email address and message in the site's own admin so we can reply, and a copy goes to the inbox where we answer mail. A spam check from Cloudflare (Turnstile) runs on the form. We do not add you to any mailing list and we delete old messages when they are no longer needed. You can ask us to delete your message at any time.
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or complain to your privacy authority. Write to the address on the contact page.
